4. Where we offer insurance
We solicit or negotiate insurance only in states where the agency and agent are licensed and, where applicable, appointed by the insurer. Invitations to apply on this site are directed only to residents of those states. Our main market is Texas. We serve customers in English and Spanish.
If you live in a state where we are not licensed, we will tell you and will not offer you plans; you may consult Medicare.gov, HealthCare.gov or your state Department of Insurance. Availability of each product (Medicare Advantage, Medigap, Part D, Marketplace plans and life insurance) also depends on Aion’s contracts with each insurer in your county.
4a. Products and separation of Medicare and life insurance
Aion provides guidance on Medicare Advantage plans, Medicare Supplement (Medigap) insurance, Part D prescription drug plans, Health Insurance Marketplace plans and life insurance. Medicare conversations follow CMS rules (TPMO disclaimer, Scope of Appointment and recording). Life insurance is not offered within a Medicare marketing appointment: it is handled in a separate contact with its own consent.
5. What we are not
- We are not an insurance company: we do not issue policies, pay claims or set premiums or benefits.
- We are not a government agency, Medicare, CMS, HealthCare.gov or the Marketplace.
- We do not offer every plan available in your area. See our “Medicare and Marketplace Notices” page.
- We are not a law firm or tax or financial advisers.
6. Compensation
Aion and its agents are generally paid a commission by the insurer when you enroll in a plan. The commission does not increase your premium or cost you anything. You may ask the agent how he or she is compensated.
